Posting Summary:

The Nurse Educator is responsible for leading the assessment, implementation, planning, evaluation and supportive application of existing and new clinical knowledge and skills to practice.


  • Current certificate of competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario as an RN or RN (EC), in good standing.
  • Baccalaureate degree in nursing, Master’s Degree in Nursing, preferred.
  • Member of the Registered Nurses Association of Ontario (preferred).
  • NICU Course, preferred.
  • Certification from the Canadian Nurses Association, preferred.
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of relevant Perinatal and Pediatrics nursing experience.
  • Current Neonatal Resuscitation Provider course.
  • PALS Provider Certification, required, Instructor status preferred.
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Provider, required Instructor status preferred.
  • Effective knowledge transfer, program planning and evaluation skills.
  • Superior interpersonal, coaching, and leadership skills to facilitate identification and development of staff learning needs.
  • Committed to excellence in all aspects of the discipline including professional practice, research and education.
  • A strong desire to promote professional practice and excellence in evidence-based, patient centered care.
  • Flexible with change and able to set priorities and problem-solve.
  • Proven ability to facilitate ongoing staff development through mentoring, coaching and counseling skills.
