Posting Summary:

The Financial Analyst, Redevelopment will be responsible for supporting the financial reporting and recordkeeping for the redevelopment projects.  This role is responsible for processing projects related transactions, assisting in maintaining project cost reports, reconciling capital accounts and providing support to the Redevelopment Finance Team.  As a member of the Redevelopment Finance Team, the Financial Analyst will facilitate team meetings and maintain the work plan and notes arising from the team. The Financial Analyst will be required to be flexible during peak periods to meet deadlines and submission requirements.  This role will work closely with and assist the Finance Manager, Redevelopment in all financial matters related to Redevelopment.   

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in project accounting required.
  • Knowledge of hospital financial accounting requirements and reporting structure an asset.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of financial reporting experience in a hospital setting.
  • A self-starter, self-motivated individual with a solid understanding and experience in construction projects.
  • Knowledge of government policies and procedures.
  • Currently completed or working towards post-secondary education in Accounting/Business/Finance (CMA/CGA).
  • Demonstrated organizational, time management, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to adapt to a continuously changing environment, with tight timelines.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with a variety of individuals in a cooperative manner both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office suite of products in a Windows environment, especially Excel, Powerpoint, MS Project and Word.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills required.
  • Ability to foster partnerships and achieve organizational goals.
