Mackenzie Health Foundation
We inspire inspirational gifts
Mackenzie Health Foundation was established in 1977 and has raised over $94 million for capital projects, medical equipment, technology and educational opportunities for Mackenzie Health. Today, Mackenzie Health Foundation is proud to work with our generous community to attract donations to support the advancement of patient care at Mackenzie Richmond Hill Hospital, as well as raise the community portion of funding to build and equip the future Mackenzie Vaughan Hospital.
Donations from our friends and neighbours enable Mackenzie Health to provide specialized and compassionate care that is close to home for families in our community.
Last year, our donors made a difference, helping the Foundation grant over $1.6 million to Mackenzie Health – funds that meant we could purchase the much-needed medical equipment and help fund renovations that are critical to our continuing to provide leading edge and innovative care.
Some of these enhancements include:
This year, we look forward to completing our $5 million Picture This campaign to bring a second MRI scanner to Mackenzie Richmond Hill Hospital. We are currently at $4.4 million of our $5 million goal to bring this life-saving equipment to our hospital.
Mackenzie Health aims to offer our patient population world-class healthcare that is right in their own neighbourhood, minimizing the need to seek specialized care outside of Southwest York Region. With the addition of a new hospital in Vaughan and enhanced patient care initiatives in Richmond Hill, the people in the communities served by Mackenzie Health can look forward to leading-edge, innovative care that is close to home.
