How do I reschedule an appointment?

If you are not able to keep your appointment, please call the clinic at 905-883-1212 x7721 within 24 hours of your visit so we can book another patient.

What tests will I have?

You may be asked to have blood work, a carotid doppler, an echocardiogram and a holter monitor.

What will the blood work consist of?

The blood work will test your cholesterol levels, blood sugar levels and test kidney and liver function.

What is a Carotid Doppler?

The carotid doppler is an ultrasound of major arteries of your neck, which supply your brain with oxygen-rich blood. This test will look for narrowing or blockages in these vessels.

What is an Echocardiogram?

The echocardiogram is an ultrasound of your heart to check its size, how it pumps and looks for the presence of blood clots.

What is a Holter Monitor?

The holter monitor is a portable monitor, consisting of electrodes worn on the chest for 24 or 48 hours during normal daily activities, including work. It records your heart’s rhythm and checks for abnormal heart beats that could lead to blood clots.
