Professional Practice - Mentorship

Mentorship is the process of learning from one another in order to develop skills and knowledge professional growth. Mentorship is an opportunity for experts to share their professional knowledge and expertise with others who are less experienced. A mentor is knowledgably, emphatic and patient. Essential to our nursing profession, mentors challenge us to think critically. They play a crucial role in our personal and professional development.

Here at Mackenzie Health, we understand the challenges nurses face in today’s fast pace health environment. Our goal is to support you, regardless of the level of your experience. We want you to make Mackenzie Health your “career” home.

We have developed a nursing Mentorship program for newly hired nurses to help them transition into their new roles. The goal of the mentorship program is to promote clinical excellence, professional development and improve the quality of care and patient outcomes. It is more than an orientation program; it is a commitment to organizational long term growth and staff retention. Here at Mackenzie health, we advocate for an environment supportive of nursing and nurses and foster your personal and professional growth.
