Over the last several months, we have revisited and refreshed our commitment to the core elements and destination outlined in the 2013-16 Strategic Plan. Through ongoing extensive engagement with staff, physicians, volunteers, leaders, board members, patients and families, we received input on the original strategic plan document and conducted a deeper refresh in an ongoing strategic planning process.
We heard through this engagement that our vision of ‘Creating a world-class health experience’ continues to resonate strongly with the communities we serve, and our mission of ‘Relentlessly improving care to create healthier communities’ remains applicable to our trajectory.
Over the last three years, we have achieved much in delivering on our goals set out in the 2013-16 Strategic Plan. Many of the goals and elements in this plan continue to remain relevant. As we extend the plan through to 2020, we will remain committed to furthering the targets we set in 2013 and remain focused on our journey to build a two-hospital model and deliver on our advanced clinical transformation with a new EMR. The plan extension will be supported by performance metrics to track and improve throughout the process.
