How do I register to participate? 
Start by signing up here. You will be prompted to fill out the registration form and will be guided through the registration process. You can register as an individual, team member or team captain. Once your transaction is complete, you will receive a confirmation receipt via email. 

Do I have to be registered to participate in Ride for Mackenzie Health? 
Yes. To participate, you must be registered. 

What is the registration fee? Can it be counted towards my fundraising efforts? 
The early bird registration fee is $95 available until June 30, 2023. The rider registration available from July 1, 2023 until September 15, 2023 is $125 per rider.

How do I create a team? 
You can build your own team by becoming a team captain. To do this, select “Register” on the MHFRide.ca page. Select the registration option that says, “Become a team captain.” From there, you will be prompted to fill out the registration form and guided through the registration process. Once you've successfully registered, you can use the online Participant Centre to recruit team members.  

How many people do I need to create a team? 
You can create a team with just one person — there is no minimum. But we recommend building teams of between 4 and 10 people. 

Can I be added to a team if I’ve already registered as an individual? 
Yes. It’s easy for you to make this switch. Simply login to your Participant Centre and select "Join a team" from the dashboard. 

Can a team captain be changed after a team is formed? And can I form a team and become a team captain if I’ve already registered as an individual? 
Yes! Please contact us at Ride@MackenzieHealth.ca. 

How do I join a team? 
Select “Register” on MHFRide.ca. Select the “Become a team member” registration option. Search for the name of the team you’d like to join. From there, you will be prompted to fill out the registration form and guided through the registration process. 

Can I register on event day? 
No. Registration closes on Friday, September 15, 2023 at 11:59 p.m ET. 

I’ve already registered but can no longer participate in the event. What should I do? 
We’re sorry that you won’t be able to participate. Your registration fee can be transferred to another participant or feel free to request a tax receipt if you wish to turn your registration fee into a donation. Unfortunately we do not provide refunds.

Does every rider receive a Ride for Mackenzie Health jersey?  
Every rider who registers by Friday, June 30, 2023 at 11:59pm will receive a Ride for Mackenzie Health jersey. Please note: no additional orders can be placed following the deadline. You will have the option to opt out during the registration process and donate the savings back to Mackenzie Health.  

How do I select my jersey size? 
If you register by Friday, June 30, 2023 and opt into receiving a jersey, to help select the best size for you, please visit the sizing chart. Sizing up by 1 size, especially if close to the top size range, is suggested. Castelli clothing is designed for an on-bike position. 

How do I register for the $10K Team Challenge?

If you are interested in registering for our $10K Team Challenge, please fill out our reply form and send to Ride@mackenziehealth.ca. To receive full benefits including a customized team jersey, reply forms must be received by June 30, 2023 at 11:59pm.

When I fundraise for or donate to Ride for Mackenzie Health, what am I supporting? 
Funds raised will go towards Mackenzie Health's highest-priority needs.  Your support means Cortellucci Vaughan Hospital and Mackenzie Richmond Hill Hospital can continue to make critical investments in the spaces, programs, people and technology that ensure world-leading, compassionate health care is close to home.      

Is there a minimum fundraising requirement? 
We recommend that riders set a fundraising goal of $300, but there is no minimum requirement. Donations of $10 or more will receive a tax receipt.

When does fundraising close? 
You can continue your fundraising efforts until the end of the month of September.

How can my family and friends make a donation through my Personal Fundraising Page? 
Family and friends can easily donate to your page by selecting the “Donate” button on the Ride for Mackenzie Health homepage. They can then search for your name or team and will be directed to your Personal Fundraising Page, where they can make a donation. Alternatively, you can provide supporters with the direct link to your Personal Fundraising Page.  

Will donors/supporters receive a charitable tax receipt? 
Yes. Donors who make a gift of $10 or more online with a valid email address will receive a tax receipt by email. Those who make donations by mail will receive a tax receipt in the mail. 

Can donors give anonymously? 
Yes. Donors have the option to keep their name and/or gift amount anonymous. Please note that some donor information will still be given to the participant they supported, as well as to Mackenzie Health Foundation for processing purposes. 

What will event day look like? 
On Sunday, September 24, 2023, participants will gather, leave from and return to Westlin Farms. Participants will complete a 40, 70 or 100K ride on a designated route with rest stops available along the way. A light breakfast will be offered prior the opening ceremony and start, and a post ride celebration will follow.

Where and when do I pick up my Mackenzie Health jersey and post ride T-shirt?  
Pick-up of your Ride for Mackenzie Health jersey and post-ride t-shirt will take place Tuesday, September 19, Wednesday, September 20, and Thursday, September 21 from 12 p.m. until 9 p.m. at the Mackenzie Health Foundation office located at 955 Major Mackenzie Drive, unit 303. Please note: This is not located at the hospital. It is a medical building on the southwest side of Major Mackenzie Dr. and Ilan Ramon Blvd., just west of Bathurst St.  Also, pick up dates and times are subject to change but registrants will be notified. *To receive a jersey, riders were required to have registered before the jersey deadline. 

Can my ride be timed?  
You can choose to time your own ride by using the Strava app and joining our Ride for Mackenzie Health Club. Through Strava, you’ll have the ability to see all your ride results and get access to our club’s leaderboard. Visit us at MHFRide.ca and keep an eye on your inbox for more information.   

What if it rains on event day?  
The event will take place on Sunday, September 24, 2023 rain or shine, but you are welcome to ride on your own on a day that’s best for you if you are unable to attend. 

Where can I park?
Please plan to park at Westlin Farms located at 12480 Weston Road (King Vaughan & Weston Road). Look for directional signage onsite, and our friendly volunteers will be on hand to assist you with parking.
