A note of gratitude to Mackenzie Health

Our journey with Mackenzie Health began in August 2003 when our son, Joshua, fell critically ill with a virus that led to severe dehydration. The exceptional care and dedication of the doctors, nurses and staff during this challenging time, especially during a 30-hour province-wide power outage, left an indelible mark on us. Over the years, we've continued to rely on Mackenzie Health's exceptional care, particularly for our daughter, Yolanda, who underwent two surgeries. The anxiety of watching our child be wheeled into the operating room was indescribable, but the medical team provided us with comfort and support.

When I grieved the passing of my mother-in-law and developed shingles, the staff at Cortellucci Vaughan Hospital provided exemplary care. Inspired by the care we received, my husband Claudio and I wanted to give back. When Gabriel Bianchi, owner of RE/MAX Premier Inc. Vaughan, pledged a gift to Mackenzie Health Foundation, we knew we had to join the cause. Since 2016, we've committed to donating a portion of my real estate deals to the Foundation, earning me the highest contributor award within our brokerage for many years. With my colleagues Nadia and Andrew Curci, we also lead the Diamond Team, supporting the Foundation through various fundraising events like Strides for Mackenzie Health.

As I reflect on our journey, I'm reminded of the power of gratitude. Mackenzie Health has been a source of comfort, healing and hope, and we are truly thankful.
