They help us provide a world-class health experience for patients and families by providing their time and commitment. There isn’t a department or service at Mackenzie Health that has not benefitted from the dedication of the more than 1000 volunteers that give more than 96,000 hours annually.”
Altaf Stationwala, President and CEO
Mackenzie Health
“At Mackenzie Health, we recognize that visiting the hospital can cause feelings of stress. Our volunteers are placed strategically in areas across the organization to greet patients and visitors, answer questions, provide direction and generally reduce any anxiety caused by the unknown. I am frequently told by patients and visitors how much they appreciate the visible and helpful presence of our volunteers.”
