Mackenzie Health is committed to being a leader in energy efficiency and sustainability in the health-care sector.

Our Energy Conservation and Demand Management (ECDM) plan provides an overview of our energy management activities and plans for 2024-2029, that will aim to promote energy conservation, reduce energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions.

Over the next five years, Mackenzie Health will aim to:

• Reduce energy consumption by three per cent and 17 per cent at Cortellucci Vaughan Hospital and Mackenzie Richmond Hill Hospital, respectively.
• Achieve utility cost savings of $856,250 per year at 2024 rates
• Reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 1,186 tonnes of eCO2 per year.
