Quotes:
“Volunteers are an invaluable part of our healthcare team and our hospital and community are fortunate to have their support. Volunteers help us to provide the best possible experience for patients and families, are among our greatest supporters, and are our biggest advocates. There isn’t a department or unit at the hospital that has not benefitted from the skill, commitment or dedication of our many volunteers.”
Altaf Stationwala, President and CEO
Mackenzie Health
“At Mackenzie Health, we recognize that visiting the hospital can cause feelings of stress. Our volunteers are placed strategically in areas across the organization to greet patients and visitors, answer questions, provide direction and generally reduce any anxiety caused by the unknown. I am frequently told by patients and visitors how much they appreciate the visible and helpful presence of our volunteers.”
