RICHMOND HILL, ON – In November and December, Mackenzie Health hosted community consultations in Vaughan and Richmond Hill. Now, videos of those sessions are available online. In addition to videos of both Vaughan and Richmond Hill consultations, those who view the presentation will have the opportunity provide their feedback through a community survey.
Mackenzie Health hosted these sessions to share its progress planning the future expansion and enhancement of healthcare services offered through the Mackenzie Vaughan Hospital, the Mackenzie Richmond Hill Hospital and its network of community clinics.
These presentations also detailed how Mackenzie Health’s unique two-hospital model will provide significantly expanded services and levels of care, not previously available in Southwest York Region. Presenters included Mackenzie Health’s CEO, Board Members and Physicians.
Mackenzie Health is committed to ongoing engagement with the communities it serves. This new opportunity, to provide input online, complements Mackenzie Health’s community outreach efforts to-date. These efforts have included consultations with church groups, ratepayers associations, seniors and service clubs and other interested community groups, as well as a number of open community consultation sessions offered at local community and arts centres. Mackenzie Health has engaged with over 1000 community residents over the last two years.
