We wish we could walk you down the halls of our new state-of-the-art Cortellucci Vaughan Hospital. In the meantime, we are excited to share with you the details of our second full-service hospital that is doubling our community's access to world-class care.
As the first smart hospital in Canada, the new hospital features fully integrated systems and medical technology that shares information directly to one another leading to an improved patient experience and the best possible care. With a new emergency department, advanced diagnostic imaging, specialized ambulatory clinics and intensive care beds, and modern surgical services and operating rooms, health care in York Region will never be the same.
The hospital covers core health services such as Critical Care, Emergency, Laboratory, Medical and Surgery, Medical Imaging and Pharmacy, as well as provide a focus on Integrated Stroke, Pediatrics, Obstetrics and Mental Health. Best of all? Approximately 90 percent of acute-care patient rooms is single occupancy for infection prevention and control.
